9/18/2006 - New Employee Profile: Will Guo

We would like to welcome Will Guo as the newest member of our team here at Plasmaterials, Inc. Mr. Guo holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial and Operations Engineering from the University of Michigan. He is a member of the Institute of Industrial Engineers and the Society for Engineering and Management Systems.

Before joining Plasmaterials, he was part of the Orders Management Project (OMP) Team for the University of Michigan Health System (UMHS), where he studied and quantified the ordering techniques of house officers and residents prior to implementation of a new computerized auto-entry system. His responsibilities included developing work-sampling methods to aid in data collection, conducting time studies, and performing a detailed statistical and graphical analysis on the collected data.

Mr. Guo has researched and analyzed several case studies in production and inventory control, lean manufacturing strategies, and work organization. He also has experience in the area of human-computer interaction research and helped design a new conceptual multimodal display for the Gillig Low Floor Bus.

In addition to his engineering experience, Mr. Guo also possesses extensive knowledge in sales forecasting and generation in both a retail and manufacturing environment.
